LATEST UPDATE ON NEET:

We all know that the Supreme Court has passed a verdict against NEET. It has termed NEET invalid on the grounds that the MCI (Medical Council of India) has no rights to conduct/thrust upon such an examination.

The MCI is going to file a review petition against the order soon and would let the public know about the future course of action.

Suggesting a ‘step-by-step’ approach, the Law Ministry has supported the Health Ministry’s plan to take the legislative route by amending the Medical Council of India Act in a bid to retain NEET in case it fails to get a positive response to its review plea.

What it means:

  1. The Supreme Court has struck down NEET and held that all colleges have the rights to conduct their own entrance examinations. Hence, we are back to the old system of multiple entrance examinations. Even though NEET will not be in the picture, “Entrance examinations” will continue. For example, MHT-CET.

  2. Our offering is for students who are currently in 11th standard. So they would be giving their entrance examinations in 2015. As a result, we cannot predict which examination they would be giving 2 years from now for getting into medical colleges. However we can promise them that we would
    • Make them learn in disciplined manner,
    • Make their concepts clearer and
    • Give them lots of practice in the form of mock tests for whatever examination they would be giving.

  3. A student going through our 2 year program for 11th and 12th will be able to prepare himself for the complete CBSE syllabus which is the universal set for any entrance examination held in the country.

MKCL's Mission NEET

From 2013 onwards “One Nation One Test” policy for Entrance into Engineering and Medical Colleges which has started getting implemented across nation.

What does this policy mean?

The various state-wise entrance examinations will be replaced by one test for Entrance into Medical Colleges.

  • National Eligibility Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG) for Medical

Let us explain the changed scenario in detail:

How does it affect students How to cope with this change
Concepts of both 11th & 12th Preparation for NEET has to start from 11th std.
Shift in approach: from speed to clarity of concepts. You need to have deeper understanding of the concepts. Students need to focus on clarity of concepts more than speed of solving questions.
Competition on a national level As the competition has increased manifold, even a single mark would make or break the chances of getting into a reputed college. Hence lots of practice is needed to prepare students better to face the competition on a national level. (In 2013, 7 lakhs for NEET)
